Hello, and welcome! I’m McKenzie (or McK). I’ve been tattooing for over a decade now, and while I like to think of Tattoo Nouveau as my home away from home, this website is something of a ‘catch all’ regarding my interests and passions. Everything here is to show off the work I do, from tattoos I’ve done, to custom pet portraits I’ve painted, to fundraisers I’m working/have worked, and even the interspecies communication work I’ve been doing with my dog, Mumen.
I no longer book tattoos through this website (it just became way too many avenues to keep track of) but you can still reach out to me to commission pet portraits here or just check on Mumen’s journey through button communication, agility, trick training, Fast CAT, and all the other work he’s doing.
(By the way, these lovely photos were taken by the extremely talented Mary Catherine Baird of Three Otters Photography. If you’re in the market for some wonderful photographs, I’d give her a call!)

About Me
MY NAME IS McKenzie. I go by mck.
As the intro states, I have a passion for tattooing, art, and animals.
I started apprenticing when I was 20 years old. I didn’t know what the hell I was doing, and through some miraculously divine intervention, my unmotivated ass managed to complete my apprenticeship. I’ve been tattooing for over a decade now, but there’s one passion with far more history than the others, and that’s my love for animals.
With Mumen at my side, we’ve raised over $20,000 for various animal organizations by selling pet-themed artwork, and we’re always looking out for that next fundraiser that will allow us to continue our efforts to help shelter pets.
